2002年最受瞩目的新秀乐队——“跳房子”的首张全英文大碟《A Wishful Way》于10月10日在北京什刹海举办了首发仪式，与专辑同时发行的还有乐队17岁主唱田原的首部长篇小说《斑马森林》。
“跳房子”乐队成立于2000年6月，由吉他手兼编程李涛和刘利敏组建于武汉，现任主唱田原于2001年6月加入，并完成首张专辑录制。“跳房子”乐队以收录于《摩登天空4》中的一首单曲“Animal Fazenda”为众多乐迷所知，并获得众多乐评的一致推荐，称其16岁的女主唱是“出乎意料的惊喜”，并预言这支三人乐队“有可能成为今年新音乐浪潮中最大的亮点”，“在国内乐队中，跳房子绝对是独树一帜，出类拔萃的。”
专辑中收录有“跳房子”乐队创作编排的共十首歌曲，其中有简约的专辑同名曲“A Wishful Way”，潮湿的“Soldier”，酸涩的“When I think of You”，以及曾收录于《摩登天空4》并大获好评的“Animal Fazenda”，各异的曲风，精巧的编配与完美的演唱注定了这张唱片的价值。对于英文创作和演唱，“跳房子”乐队并非刻意而为，他们只是觉得有些旋律并不适合用中文去表达，相比起来英文会更顺口，唱出来也更舒服一些，他们并不排除下一步会用中文演唱的可能。比较起其他国内乐队，可能“跳房子”更为低调——李涛和刘利敏两位主创人员更为幕后一些，而主唱田原目前尚在高中就读，何况他们对成为一个“明星”跟本毫无兴趣。
