乐队简介：
My Dying Bride 可能是受众最多的 Doom Metal 乐队了，他们的音乐优美而哀伤，乐队中的每一位几乎都参加多别的死亡乐队的排练和录音工作，可见他们的地位和技术是多么的令人信服，最出名的要算乐队中的小提琴手Martin Powell了，是他给早期的MDB带来了凄美的感觉，只有在他的琴声中，仿佛有一个鲜血溅满婚纱的新娘，嘴角带着点点血丝在向你微笑！乐队自从1990年建立,直至今天,一直在探讨Doom Metal新的表达方式，如果说大多数的Doom乐队活在Black Sabbath的阴影中，那么MDB要算前卫厄运金属的范畴了。

再次的长时间沉默后，又有新的成员加入：鼓手Shoun Steels和吉他手Hamish Glencross（Shoun参加过著名的Solstice和Anathema），另外还有临时键盘手Johnny Maudlin，1999年9月，他们推出了这张专辑，风格回归到了Turn Loose The Swans和The Angel And The Dark River之间的风格。但是否还能重振昔日雄风，我们只能拭目以待了。

这张专辑在排练过程中重要成员小提琴兼键盘手Martin Powell离队，这标志这乐队的另一个开始。在这张专辑中邀请了和他们平时走的很近的乐队---Dominion的鼓手Bill Law临时客串。专辑以全新面目示人，不难看出他们在寻求新的突破，尝试了很多手法，甚至Rock的成分，但无疑是失败的，因为他们并不擅长这些，而且歌迷也习惯了Martin的存在，后期专辑能卖的那么好，很大成分上是出于Martin的魅力，和对他们的期待。

1996年，他们又推出了新专辑，让人失望的是专辑仍旧延续了上张专辑的风格，全部使用清喉演唱。但专辑中的音乐还是很优秀的，violin 和音乐的融合很到位，吉他的音色比上张专辑更重，时时的柔美章节让人又回到他们初期的回忆。这一年他们同另一支大牌Doom Metal乐队共同巡演，1997年和Sentenced巡演，都获得了成功。终于在乐坛大哥级人物Ronnie James Dio（原Black Sabbath、Dio乐队主唱）的支持下，第一次越过大洋来到了美国演出，演出空前成功，但不幸的是演出后期鼓手Rick染上了怪病，已经无法登台，不但后期演出取消，Rick也永远的离开了MDB。

MDB的首张专辑，曲风还偏向 death metal。虽然刚刚出道，但精彩的编曲， Aaron 有特色的怒吼，再加上小提琴的参与，使他们的出现这么独树一帜，已经有很多歌迷开始喜欢这种哀愁的死亡金属乐了。专辑中的"The return of the Beautiful" 亦属上乘佳作。

在万众期待中，1995年5月8日，Peaceville为他们推出了第三张正式专辑，可叫那些极端歌迷失望的是，Aaron 放弃了?death vocal ，专辑演唱全部采用“清喉”演唱，专辑中的经常有大段的做气氛的段落，让人觉得华丽但有些做作。随后他们参加了荷兰著名的死亡金属音乐节---“Dynamo Open Air”的演出活动，并适时推出了他们的EP合辑“Trinity”，随后在Iron Maiden的支持下在英国和欧洲巡演，掀起了有一轮Doom Metal的热潮。
