挪威旋律黑金属乐队Dimmu Borgir[Death Cult Armageddon]

Dimmu Borgir

    DIMMU BORGIR（读作dim-moo bore-gear），在北欧语系中，Dimmuborgir专指冰岛Moatn湖东边的一大片不规则形状的熔岩地带，是由大大小小的洞穴和岩石构成的奇特地形，可能是熔岩湖中流出的液态熔岩在流动过程中逐渐凝固而形成的。那里最大的洞穴是Kirkjan（北欧语教堂），是一个有着歌特式穹顶的巨大洞穴。DIMMU BORGIR的名字就由这个洞穴而来，在北欧语系中，Dimmu=有雾的，黑暗的，Borgir=城堡。所以DIMMU BORGIR权且可以直译为“黑暗城堡”。
　　DIMMU BORGIR是一个来自挪威的旋律派黑金属乐队。乐队最早由Shagrath、Silenoz和Tjodalv在1993年组成，不久后，贝司手Brynjard Tristan和键盘手Stian Aarstad加入了进来，DIMMU BORGIR从此诞生。日后他们在音乐上取得的成功可以和EMPEROR，
CRADLE OF FILTH这样的乐队相提并论，今天，DIMMU BORGIR无疑是世界上最好的黑金属乐队之一。
　　气氛宏大的键盘旋律，沉重而近于死亡金属的吉他节奏，毁灭性的鼓声，高亢、厚实而富有歌剧表现力的嗓音，我们可以这样来描述DIMMU BORGIR的风格。他们主要的影响者是80年代的黑金属和重金属乐队以及古典音乐家如瓦格纳和德沃夏克。
