1998年，Kid Rock 发行了他最重要的专辑，也就是其经典的 "DEVIL WITHOUT A CAUSE"。这张专辑 -- 包括了出色的单曲/音乐录影带 "I Am The Bullgod," "Bawitdaba," "Cowboy," 以及 "Only God Knows Why" -- 最终因销量突破一千万张而获得了 RIAA 的钻石销量奖。

「十年寒窗无人问，一举成名天下知」，运用在Kid Rock身上真是再恰当不过了！1990年即出道发行首张专辑的Kid Rock至1996年间陆续于独立厂牌下发行4张专辑，直到1998年进入主流公司发行了全新作品「Devil Without A Cause」后才真正让他扬眉吐气于乐坛！不但专辑发行近二年的时间仍停留在Billboard专辑榜Top 10之中，更缔造全球逾千万的销售佳绩，推出的单曲"Bawitdaba"、"Cowboy"、"Only God Knows Why"不但顺利进人摇滚榜，并成功地跨入流行单曲Top 20之林中，更入围42届葛莱美奖『最佳新人』及『最佳重摇滚团体』两项席次，由入团『最佳新人』来看，「Devil Without A Cause」无疑是让他"重生"的代表作！在10年不算短的日子中，Kid Rock一路走来，历经艰辛、挫折、几番努力后，终于成功了迎得全球乐迷肯定及热情的掌声。进而拥有属于自己"Top Dog"音乐厂牌，及组成多达8人的Twisted Brown Trucker Band！
