在这个听习惯了爱情，听习惯了悲情的e时代……突然，听到这样一首歌，一首连如此讨厌所谓“主义”的我，都说是批判现实主义的《Another Day in Paradise》，不能不突然觉得感动。
在路上被乞丐拦住，似乎是每个人都经历过的事情。无论你或者是这个乞丐来自美国、中国，或者法国、日本、意大利、西班牙……只是，如何对待这样一个乞丐，却真的很让人头疼——究竟是给不给他帮助。
《Another Day in Paradise》是菲尔·柯林斯1990年的力作之一，荣居排行榜冠军数周，从而奠定了菲尔在西洋流行歌坛“抒情才子”的宝座地位。
菲尔说：“相比之下，我们就像生活在天堂一样，而帮助这些可怜的人，只是我们应该做，而且也能够做到的事情。”
菲尔·柯林斯于1951年出生于英国伦敦，童年时代就酷爱戏剧和音乐。出道时他只是一个乐队的鼓手，80年代初才正式开始个人发展。1989年推出的专辑《But Seriously》(《郑重其事》)获得了巨大的成功，柯林斯也因此赢得了1990年度美国音乐奖的最佳摇滚艺术家奖和格莱美最佳个人专辑、最佳单曲、最佳流行男歌手3项大奖。
